Dom Brown: guitar and vocals

Dom has been the lead guitarist with Duran Duran since 2006 and co-wrote all but two songs on their recent Mark Ronson produced album All You Need Is Now. He shares writing credits with Mark Ronson, Anamatronic (Scissor Sisters), Kelis, and Nick Hodgson (Kaiser Chiefs).

Described by Bluesmatters as having produced "superb guitar work", Dom has written and produced 2 critically acclaimed solo albums released on Remedy Records.
Mojo described Dom as someone who "clearly has the chops, playing with verve and intelligence".

John Taylor of Duran Duran writes - "Dom Brown is a great British guitar player in the great British tradition of Clapton, Beck and Page. He brings an understanding of blues and roots music to today's sonic environment to shape guitar music that is both freshly innovative and reassuringly traditional. He also has a beautiful voice. Dom has brought forth bold contributions to the new Duran Duran CD and also has his own solo CDs now available - I strongly recommend both!".

Since childhood, Dom has been fine-tuning his craft and turning his life into music. He has been in serious demand as a guitarist for many years and has worked with some of the top musicians, producers and major label international artists in the industry, including Justin Timberlake, Mark Ronson, The Sugababes, Liam Gallagher. In 2012, Dom went on a world tour with Duran to promote All You Need Is Now, co-written by him, with the shows described as the most exciting of their career.

As well as having an extremely successful session career, Dom has established himself as a solo artist, fusing singer-songwriter intensity with electrifying guitar intensity and a bluesy, experimental style. He has a well-rehearsed pool of great musicians who perform and record with him on his solo material. These include band members of Faithless, Primal Scream, Van Morrison, Groove Armada, the Neil Cowley Trio and musicians who have worked with Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Kanye West, Goldfrapp and Moby, among many others

Dom was commissioned by the BBC to compose and record the music for The Pardoner's Tale, featuring Jonny Lee Miller, part of BBC1's critically acclaimed The Canterbury Tales series. He also wrote the title and background music for Channel 5's Shake.

Dom Brown is also signed to Perfect Songs Publishing.

Rob Brown: vocals

Long ago, in a land, Rob Brown was born. Brought up in London in the 60s, he became a career teacher (poets, hobbits and wildlife adventurers catered for) and a blues shouter throughout his still unextinguished life. For the past 20 years he has worked as a voiceover (agent: Vocal Point).

Before forming Blue to Brown with his son, Dom, Rob performed with acoustic blues band Gets/z Loose. The band was very active in the 80s and 90s and still gigs occasionally. Washington Phillips, Robert Johnson - Gets/z Loose sets present covers of less well-known songs as well as blues standards. The line-up is acoustic guitar, vocals, percussion and bass with often the addition of mouthorgan.

Rob has a reputation for being a powerful performer of perhaps questionable sanity. He is certainly not shy and retiring.
